new base but what scope to put it under

after shooting @ 300yrds i'm wanting to shoot farther now 500-600yds and have 2 savages to put it on 1st is a 223 with a vortex crossfire on it that has 75 moa adjustment the other is a 308 with a bushnell elite that has 26" adjustment @100yrds .
which scope would ya'll put it under trying to not max out the adjustment on them .

Put the Vortex on the 223. What twist is your 223 barrel? I have a 1/8 twist 223 AI I've mounted a standard EGW base and Vortex Crossfire on and have shot out to 650 yards w/o problems using a 75 grain A-max.

the vortex is on the 223 already just not sure which savage to put the mount on for the longer range i'm trying to keep the adjustment range in the middle of the scope most of my shooting is at 300yrds right now but i have invites to shoot 500-600 yrds just not sure if the scope will adjust for that far. in the end i will be putting an egw on both rifles just have to balance my cash so its one 20moa mount for 1 gun as of right now

i would say that the 308 well get there like it is so id put it on the 223 its going to drop quite a bit from 300 to 600 yards. JMO. ;D

Now If your father gets shot from 500-600 yards now the feds will know where to look. but he would want it on the 308 for sure. ;D
