Single shot follower

Putting together a project The stock doesn't come inletted for a mag. Is there a way to keep a single shot follower in without the mag box? Centerfeed two screw left hand action.

I epoxied mine in. :) If there is no mag well cut, it should just sit on the wood.

If it's a "center feed" action, you don't want a single shot follower. You're after a single shot "sled" from SSS. Fills the hole in the bottom of the action. Very little fitting required but make sure it clears the bolt.
I put scotch tape across mine to make sure it wouldn't move and the "non mag well" stock keeps it in place. A little bedding material added around the edges to be sure. ;)
