Does anyone make a +20 MOA base for a J-Model Savage 110? I have a old J-Model 223 and I just ordered a 223 barrel from NSS to make it a long range gun and I didn't think about if I could find a +20 MOA base. :-[

I am not a fan of the Burris plastic insert rings nor am I a fan of 2 piece bases. Anyone have any suggestions?

Anybody? My safes are blocked in by a couple boxes. Believe these are the same as a long action 110 flat back.

Nope, it is not the same as a long action. The outside mount screw hole to outside screw hole is 5.8" on the J. Both of these are pre-AccuTrigger.

The top one is a plain 110.

The bottom one is the Model J 110

Well, since nobody has any info, I decided to buy an EGW short action 20 MOA base and I will do some surgery to it to make it a 2 piece base. The length is only .100" or so. Once I epoxy bed the base I think it will work just fine.

Pretty sure EGW makes a base for the J action. On their site it comes up as a "medium" action, which refers to its actual name(intermediate short action).

look at this link. click on the drop down menu for the different options and you will see both a 0 and 20 moa version for the J action. They also have the inside to inside screw measurements as well.

I thought the same thin until I read this:

The middle spread is the distance between the two middle holes, center to center, on your receiver. The middle spread on our short action mount is 3.925". The middle spread on our medium action mount is 3.62". The middle spread on our long action mount is 4.612".

My action does not fit any of those measurements:

Tell them what you want and they can make one.

The EGW medium bases work just fine.....They only use one of the back holes though

No thanks to using one hole. I will try my Frankenstein method first. My mounts will be here Friday, if that does not work, I will have them make one to my specs.

Sorry I was thinking of the rear windage one piece bases....The medium EGWs use both screws.
