I had some barrel work done and i need to re paint my barrel. It currently has alumahyde on it and j was wondering what tbe best way tk remove it is. Would a angle grinder witb a sanding disk be to aggressive? Should i just get some 220 grit sand paper and do it by hand? Thanks in advance for all your help!

From brownells website, http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=1117/Product/ALUMA_HYDE_reg__II
"After full cure, Aluma-Hyde II proved solvent-proof to all but the most aggressive, copper-removing bore solvents"
Look at the new really agressive bore solvents, and try the ones with the warnings about how harsh they are to finishes.

Try some heavy duty paint remover-Should peel off real easy
