Wow! That is a good shooting rifle and good looking too. I have used quite a bit of H4831 over the years and have found it very consistent even from lot to lot.

Wow! That's gotta be a flat shooter! Nice setup!

Thanks,

Load is actually in book spec hornandy list 62 grains as max with the 130 sst, most books stop around 59 or 60 for 130s, ive also noticed that win cases seems to have a little more case capacity and federal 210s are a little cooler & softer than wlr primers, so between the combo it works, no cratered or flat primers, 3 hot charges on brass showed no seperation when I cut into the brass. Just a perk I guess that it's about 100fps faster than hornandy lists. :)

Thanks for the info!

I guess I shouldn't say much, I loaded a ladder up to 59.5gr H4831SC with 150gr SGKs for my 270...other than my shoulder being sore I never saw anything worse than VERY slight bolt lift & ejector swipe.

Great looking stick you got!!! I have Savage 111 in 270 WIN, factory barrel it loves 140 gr SGK and 50gr H4350 0.25"@100 yards.

It's not difficult to get a 130 to 3200+ in a 24" 270 with any number of powders.

If you want to see some eye opening 130 numbers check out Magpro.

I think hornady looks at the case and other things for pressure signs instead of testing for actual pressure. that's why their loads are hotter than most books..
