I'VE JUST ORDERED A RIFLE BASIX SAV 1 TRIGGER FOR MY SAVAGE EDGE IN .223. I ADJUSTED THE FAC. TRIGGER BUT WAS NOT TOTALY HAPPY WITH THE INCONSISTENT RESULT. THE GENTLEMAN AT RIFLE BASIX TOLD ME IT WOULD FIT AND THAT THEIR SALES HAD GONE WAY UP SINCE THE EDGE CAME OUT. HAS ANYONE ELSE ON THIS BOARD DONE THIS AND WAS IT AN EASY INSTALL? I PUT A RIFLE BASIX IN MY MARLIN 917 AND AM VERY HAPPY WITH IT. I REMEMBER I STRUGGLED A BIT GETTING IT IN THOUGH.

Yes, I put the Sav-1 in mine about a year ago. Easy install, easy adjustment, 2 lbs pull. You won't be disappointed.

I agree with DoubleUp. I would like to point out though, if your not familiar with installing these make shorter turns on the spring adjustment screw and the sear engagement screw as you are getting close to the pull weight your after. I put mine in I tried going to quick, and made big turns on the adjusters and it made me have to readjust several times. Wasn't a problem to do, just took me more time.

well, i got my sav1 yesterday and it's installed. it was a bit tedious, going back and forth, in and out of the stock. but it's in and works just great. just a bit over 2 lbs,no creep, almost no overtravel. i'm very happy with it. thanks for the encouragement, and helpful advice.

That's great. Now go shoot some of those tiny little groups and give us an update.

Just finished installing my SAV-1 trigger. It was my very first time doing anything of the sort and I have to say it wasn't that hard. But I did take the time to read up/youtube anything about the SAV-1 and Savage triggers beforehand, that made the job a whole lot easier. Can't wait to take it to the range. ;D

RBT is the only way to go. After fitting the trigger my first 5 shots @50 meters looked like this, not bad!
