I've got a nice 12/223 barrel set which includes all factory extractors and sights,weaver mount, a nice extended screw in choke and factory forearm that I will trade for a savage 24f 12/30-30--these barrels do interchange with no problems I've actually fired these barrels from the same reciever (also the 22 hornet/12ga works also) so this is not a problem. I didn't have any fitting done --we were in the woods and just swapped barrels.
