Anybody that knows me, knows how much I enjoy shooting Bean Bears @ distance. Here in Indiana I can only do this at the range and have to wait till they come to me, sort of backwards, but it works. This year has produced a good number of targets from 800 to beyond 1000 yards. So far this year I have taken one @ 806, 1008 and 1002. I leave anything closer for the other members of the range which they seem to appreciate.

Indiana weather is crazy sometimes, just like yesterday. It's June and it is overcast, raining, windy, foggy and cold with a high of 58 degrees for the day, I was cold. Didn't really expect to see much, but wouldn't you know it, one old Bean Bear appeared right at 1000 yards off to the right. He wouldn't stand up, but he wasn't moving so I decided to take a shot. I guessed at the wind and placed 2.0 MOA Left in using my standard elevation for that distance. Pressed one off, just right, but very close, elevation looked good. He only ran about 10 yards to the right and stopped, I added a .25 MOA Left and about 2 seconds later he stood up to take a look back, his last mistake.
