I just purchased a savage 12benchrest in 6br. I will be shooting 600 yard benchrest with it using 105-107gr bullets. Will i need to put an moa base on it . If so what size?

It will depend on what scope you use but that being said most quality scopes for target shooting will have more than enough adjustment even if you are off center when sighted in at 100 yards to get you well past the 600 yard line so a 0 MOA base should do you just fine unless you plan to go to 1000 yards then you might think about a 10 or 20 MOA base.

Depends on how much elevation adjustment is in the scope you are using. A 6br dont need much to get to 600, so most scopes should have enough without a canted base.

I would go ahead and get the 20 moa base for your 600 yd shooter as I don't like to run scopes at the upper limits of adjustment range, Regards
