Do you remove the L shape bracket when you bed the rear action part of a stevens 200? When all bedded do you go back and cut out the the bedding material so the L shape bracket fits. How are some of you bedding these stevens 200's?

I bed right over the bracket (waxed prior to bedding with Q-Tip) and clear epoxy from it later with a sharp chisel. Two cuts each side and a tap on the edge of the braket, the piece of epoxy pops right off.

I removed the mag assembly. After the bedding hardened, I used a dremel to remove the bedding in the "L" braket slot and around the magazine well so the magazine box can be reinserted. Seemed to work easy enough.
