I've heard several reports on loose primer pockets after a few firings on Hornady brass and I can't find another brass manufacturer for this calibre. What do you Creedmoor shooters use if not Hornady? Can 243 Lapua brass be sized to 6.5? Thanks.

I reload the Creedmoor with Hornady brass and have had no problems. 22-250 Brass can be used as well as Savage 250 brass.

I read in this months Handloader magazine about fire forming 22-250 brass for the 6.5 cm using the cream of wheat method. The author used winchester large rifle primer, 18.0 grains of alliant Unique and enough cream of wheat to fill the case to the bottom of the neck, The neck was then stuffed with a cotton.22-caliber cleaning patch to hold everything in place. This "handload" formed the case perfectly, including expanding the necks. case length also turned out to be perfect, just at or slightly under the creedmore length of 1.92 inch's. as written in the article. he was using winchester brass, almost forgot to mention that. He also did it all in doors, he had a cardboard box filled with old newspapers and would slip the muzzle between the papers and pull the trigger.
