Stock Modification question

I plan on changing out my factory CF stock to a model 2997 B/C Medalist blind box. What modifications if any do I need to make to the rifle for this stock to work correctly? Thanks in advance for any replys. So far, this has been the most knowledgeable group and very pleasant to deal with.

you shouldnt need any modifications, just pop the magbox assy out of your factory stock and put it in the Medalist.

The only thing I've noticed lately on them is that some will come with the inlet for a Stevens plastic trigger guard. Those are thicker in the front than the metal guards so it doesnt crack when you tighten the action screw. So if you are using a metal guard then you will need to use small1/4" washers(or make a spacer) to space out the guard till it is flush with the stock.

Other than that(and possibly free floating the rear tang and/or the barrel channel if it needs it) you should be good to go.
