Savage warranty/stock question

I have a MKII BV that I bought new about 2 yrs ago. About 6 months later I went to put a pipod on it & realized that the stock was drilled about 1/8" off center making a bipod a pain to use. I love the gun but that REALLY bothers me, so much that I kinda lost interest in it for a awhile.
My question is, do you think Savage will warranty it? I know there used to be a gal there that everyone recomended talking to personaly but don't remember her name or contact #.
